Hello Everybody.
I have been paddling for about 2000 km now. I have paddled through perhaps the most beautiful parts of Norway, namely the Troms and Nordland coasts. One area in particular was Helgelandskyst, a large strip of coast with about 20,000 islands which can only be described as paradise. I have been writing a diary and the picture is a link to a sample day in that area. I still have a few challenges and about 1200 km to go before I reach Oslo around the end of August.
I am doing this skiing and kayaking trip to help raise money to build three schools in a remote valley in Nepal. you can find out more about this project by clicking on the picture. there have already been some very kind donations. A list of those who have already donated and raised a considerable sum so far, is here under the donations page. if you would like to join that list please make a donation.
There is a good map showing my current location and the trip so far. if you want to see my progress on the map please click the current location link above. I have also made a gallery of the entire trip to date. The kayaking sections are Section 20 to Section 30 (and counting). if you would like to see more pictures then please click the image and you will go to the gallery page
I would also be very grateful if you could forward this email on to anybody you think might be interested in it, be they friends, work colleagues, or even acquaintances in the media.
Thank you
James Baxter
